Bringing superheroes back to earth is all in a day’s work

Our crew was out in full force last Tuesday setting up and running through last-minute safety instructions and orientation for the Drop Zone Vancouver participants who were lucky enough to rappel down a 20-storey building. We’re happy to announce that all 60, many dressed as superheroes, came down safe and sound!

Thanks to event organizer Mandy Wong from Easter Seals BC/Yukon and her team for putting on a great event – we’re honoured to be a part of it.

In addition to supporting Easter Seals BC raise $169,000, Climb Base5 was also able to hang out with, and calm the nerves of, some familiar faces for the event like Sophie Lui and Yvonne Schalles from Global News, The Bachelorette Canada Jasmine Lorimer, and The Canucks Green Men! Another familiar face for us was Chloe Earle, our youth team athlete who was fundraising for the event… we’d like to thank everyone who supported her so she could join this amazing cast of characters to rappel down the building.

Drop zone was an amazing experience! It was a lot of fun to rappel down the building and because it was for a good cause, it made it even more special! I definitely want to do it again next year.

Here’s a video of Keith and Nikki instilling some wisdom and calm to Global’s Sophie Lui as she heads down the building… Sophie was all smiles as she greets Colby on the ground!

It was a lot of fun for us and we hope to do it again next year (Check out our Facebook album with highlights of our crew helping out Drop Zone Vancouver)!
