Our setting team has been busy both outside and inside of the gyms… all our setters participated as athletes, coaches and setters during the peak of the Canadian competition season at the Open Boulder Nationals in Calgary and the Youth Boulder Nationals In Montreal. Now with Spring Break over, the setting team is back at it.

The first finals about to start. Marking the beginning of the end, so close I can feel my bed. Everyone knows setters work hard, but how hard? I personally have put 110 hours into this comp this week. I've been sick the entire time. I am broken in more ways than one. If you're lucky enough to see a setter out in the wild give them a snack, pet them gently, find them a pillow, and share any appreciation you have for what they do. We do it for you guys. #supportyourlocalroutesetter #YBN2019 #nationals
Just in time for the sunshine, we’ve reset the outdoor wall. We’ve filled it with 4 times as many holds as in previous years. It’s great for training, games, or just being outside.
In the next few weeks there’s going to be a massive order of brand new purple holds for both gyms! We’ve ordered many large easy to medium holds which means more easy to moderate routes and boulders. This also means a large portion of the old holds in North van will be taken out of circulation.
There will also be brand new route tags for both gyms that will be larger and clearer making them easier to read.
We’re bringing blue holds back to Coquitlam, along with all our new purple holds we’ve also ordered a small number of blue holds. We’re increasing the number of easy boulders in Coquitlam to add to our blue beginner/warm up circuit. We will be adding several VB to V0+ boulders on our boulder walls.
