One of of the most important aspects to know about climbing, has nothing to do with holds, footwork, center of gravity, or how long you can hold a lock-off. Rather, it is learning that proper fall technique is key in avoiding unnecessary injury while bouldering. As gym staff, we bear witness to improper fall technique too often. You don’t always get to choose where or when you fall, so it is important to practice the basics of falling.
